Archies Thongs – Your Perfect Mate for Summer
Our Summers can be Brutal.
Summer in Queensland can be pretty brutal! It’s not just the heat but the humidity that comes with it.
A lot of people who need orthotics to keep themselves pain free, have trouble wearing enclosed shoes in such hot, sticky weather.
At Dynamic Podiatry there are a couple of options for you if you struggle to wear an enclosed shoe during the Brisbane summer.
Custom Orthotics in Good Sandals.
Sandals can be a great option for you if you need to be in orthotics most or all of the time.
To be appropriate the sandals need to have a full length or 3/4 length removable inserts which can be replaced with your orthotics.
The other necessary feature is a heel cup or at the very minimum a thicker strap around the back of the heel, and decent straps across the top of the front of the foot.
Archies Thongs are a Great Option.
Dynamic Podiatry sells a lot of Archies Thongs.
People just love the support that is built into the thongs and the slightly firmer strap across the top of the foot which helps prevent the clawing of their toes.
Podiatrist Matt - I Love Archies for the Beach
I (Matt) wear orthotics all day long, they help to reduce any back pain I may have by preventing excess internal rotation of my feet and legs.
But when I’m at the beach or going to the pool I need another option, and that’s where Archies thongs fit into my footwear mix.
Although the support is certainly not the same as my custom orthotics, Archies thongs still do a great job of supporting me, and making sure that I don’t get as sore in the feet and legs after going to the beach.
A lot of our patients and people who just walk in find the same thing.
If you’re used to wearing thongs a lot of the time, you’ll usually find that switching to Archies thongs will have many benefits.
Great Colours Perfect for Summer
Archies come in a great range of colours ensuring that you’ll find the perfect one for you.
The Archies range at Dynamic Podiatry include the following colours:
- Navy Blue
- Pale Blue
- Pale Pink
Not Suitable for All.
I do have to caution that not all people should be wearing Archies thongs.
For people who have balance issues, or have peripheral neuropathy or very poor circulation, we advise strongly against wearing any kind of thongs, and that includes the Archies range.
If you’re unsure about whether or not Archies are for you, drop in to our clinic sometime and our friendly reception staff or podiatrists will be able to give you some guidance.
If you’d like to try on a pair of Archies drop in at Dynamic Podiatry 1/135 Ferny Way, Ferny Hills, Qld 4055. Or call (07) 3351 8878
