Corns and Calluses Treatment at Dynamic Podiatry
Corns and calluses are thickened areas of skin that develop in response to repeated pressure or friction—most commonly on the feet. While they’re often seen as minor problems, they can cause discomfort, pain, and even lead to complications if not treated properly.
At Dynamic Podiatry, we provide expert assessment and treatment of corns and calluses to restore comfort, prevent recurrence, and keep your feet in top condition.
What Are Corns and Calluses?
- Calluses are broad areas of hard, thickened skin that typically develop on weight-bearing areas of the foot, such as the heel or ball of the foot.
- Corns are more focal, often cone-shaped, and develop over pressure points like the tops of toes or in between them. They may be painful, especially when pressed.
Both are your body’s protective response to friction or pressure—often caused by poor-fitting footwear, abnormal gait, foot deformities (like bunions or hammer toes), or increased time spent on your feet.
