What are Orthotics?
An orthosis—commonly known as an orthotic—is a specialised device designed to support, align, or improve the function of the feet and lower limbs. Problems with foot posture or biomechanics can have significant impacts not only on your feet but also on your ankles, knees, hips, and even your back.
At Dynamic Podiatry, located in Ferny Hills, we use orthotics to help improve foot function, relieve pain, prevent injuries, and enhance overall mobility. Orthotics work by redistributing pressure across the foot, controlling excessive motion, and supporting proper alignment during walking or running.
